About Us

Established in 1995, Quality Heating Services Ltd initially started out as professional accredited installers and maintainers of domestic and commercial gas central heating systems Including annual Landlord Gas Safety Record checks (LGSR's), but have long since diversified into a full range of electrical installations, repairs, safety warning systems (i.e. alarms, detectors and sensors) and electrical installation condition reports (EICR's), plus installing dual fuel Smart meters and Electric Vehicle Charge Points, along with other Green Technologies such as solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage and air source heat pumps.

With Head Offices in High Wycombe in South Buckinghamshire, Quality Heating Services Ltd (now more widely known as QHS) undertake long term contracts with local authorities such as Harrow and St Albans, plus QHS works with major energy businesses and housing associations including Paradigm Housing Association.

QHS have been providing gas installation, maintenance and repair services, along with both gas and electric meter installations (many of which nowadays are dual fuel Smart meter installations) to local authorities, housing associations and household utility companies for almost 30 years with a reputation founded on safety, successful partnerships, good quality work and exemplary levels of customer satisfaction. On 2nd July 2023 QHS's Managing Director, Owner and Founder Peter Tillotson celebrated the impressive milestone of having spent 50 years in the Gas Industry, and in much less than two years' time on 26th January 2025, QHS will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary, thanks to the longevity of service of his loyal staff, Directors, clients and customers.

As a business, QHS defines its values as Quality, Honesty and Safety. This represents their commitment to excellence and accountability in all they do. As it's Constructionline Gold accreditation proves, Safety is at the core of all QHS's decisions and actions, and it delivers a service that is consistently high-quality. QHS's operations senior management team are qualified gas engineers, including some Chartered Engineers, meaning they have expertise, experience and technical excellence to find a solution and manage any challenge.

Here at QHS we firmly believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay and we are proud to be a Living Wage Employer and all of our employed personnel are paid at least the Living Wage.

We currently employ a workforce of around 140 engineers throughout the United Kingdom, forming the backbone of a dedicated team that is consistently growing.

QHS senior management have a proven track record spanning over 4 decades of developing and maintaining long-term relationships and it is dedicated to continuously improving the service it offers its existing customers. In addition QHS takes it's corporate and social responsibilities extremely seriously, and as such is an Armed Forces friendly employer which is registered with the Forces Families Jobs Forum and also QHS has signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, pledging it will endeavour in our business dealings to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, which are:
