Established in 1995, QHS initially started out as professional accredited installers and maintainers of domestic and commercial gas central heating systems, but it was not long before they diversified into a full range of electrical installations, repairs, safety warning systems (i.e. alarms) and condition reports (EICR's), plus installing dual fuel Smart meters and Electric Vehicle Charge Points, along with other Green Technologies such as Air Source Heat Pumps.
QHS first became an Approved NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) Contractor and Installer in 2006. This scheme is for electrical contractors undertaking design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations to BS 7671.
QHS have been providing Electric meter installations (although many nowadays are dual fuel Smart meter installations) to local authorities, housing associations and household utility companies for almost 3 decades, and are proud of their reputation founded on safety, successful partnerships, honesty, good quality work and exemplary levels of customer satisfaction.
QHS are a fully accredited company and willing participants of the Home Insulation & Energy Systems Quality Assured Contractors Scheme (HIES). HIES is a consumer protection organisation covering the installation of renewable energy and home energy efficiency products.
All HIES members like QHS must undergo a rigorous accreditation process before they can join the HIES network of trusted installers. As a result, QHS is subject to annual vetting by HIES inspectors to ensure they are adhering to the HIES scheme rules and code of practice.
