Paradigm Housing Association Case Study

Quality Heating Services (QHS) are established certified electrical contractors with AICO Expert Installer trained electrical engineers engaged with the AICO Installer Community. AICO are leading suppliers in the UK of domestic fire and Carbon Monoxide (CO) protection equipment.

Paradigm Housing Association chose QHS as a Strategic Partner to support their Direct Labour Organisation to carry out the required Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) on each of their properties every 5 years, along with electrical repairs and safety upgrades on their existing portfolio and recent “stock transfer” to homes primarily across Bucks, Herts and North-West London.

QHS were awarded the contract to support the in-house electrical team by Paradigm based on value for money, quality of work, excellent local knowledge and our reputation for exemplary customer service.

Paradigm’s customers see no difference in service delivery between Paradigm’s Direct Labour Organisation and QHS – both service delivery teams work together as “one team” to ensure a customer friendly, efficient and safety focussed service delivering enhanced fire and CO safety for residents. The strategic partnership has worked well, and additional workload requirements have increased electrician staff numbers, dedicated to Paradigm. QHS chose to reach out to the local community to recruit electricians within the contract operational area, and continually look to take on new employees from the areas which we serve, adding to the social value impact of the partnership, through local permanent employment.

QHS’s commitment to employment and training has provided exceptional support, professionalism and a high-quality consistent service contribution to Paradigm’s customers, meeting and exceeding the contract brief.

QHS’s call centre staff have been trained by AICO RSM Ben Malton and the team can now effectively engage and communicate with residents to efficiently triage telephone enquiries from residents.

QHS, therefore are in effect enablers for Paradigm to improve Home Life safety through an end to end solution, with a significant number of employees having gone through an AICO programme of staff training, starting in the High Wycombe Call Centre, extending through to it’s qualified Electrical Engineers on the ground, all overseen by AICO trained Electrical Operational Managers.
