QHS Backers Of International Women's Day
QHS support the aims of International Women's Day, which celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. International Women’s Day is run annually on March 8, a day which also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
One look at our diverse workforce will confirm that we are big supporters of all-year round diversity, and as such we encourage more women to get more involved in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and careers.
For many years now we have supported the #MakeAStand campaign and is proactive in developing its progress, because at QHS, we have an inclusive and diverse workforce reflecting the communities that we serve.
We will continue to support campaigns which look to remove and address diversity, inequality, abuse and unacceptable behaviour through action in our sphere of operations and promotion through our networks.
The International Women’s Day theme in 2022 is that collectively we can all #BreakTheBias and to pay tribute to the "hidden heroines" who do amazing work every day in our specialist domestic abuse services to ensure that survivors get the support that they need.
We are Women's Aid Campaign Champions having signed up to their #NoMeansNo campaign, the aim of which is for women to feel safe and heard in their relationships, plus also supporting the Women's Aid new mental health campaign #DeserveToBeHeard
