TrustMark is a not-for-profit social enterprise established in 2005 in conjunction with Government, industry bodies and consumer protection groups. The 2016 published Each Home Counts review identified that greater consistency and quality in standards of workmanship, technical ability and customer protection was needed across the industry. New regulations that improved consumer protection were developed based on the recommendations from the Each Home Counts review. The end result is that nowadays all tradespeople carrying out energy improvements in dwellings must be TrustMark registered and adhere to the TrustMark Framework Operating Requirement, which provides a greater levels of assurance and protection to homeowners.
On 9th May 2022, QHS became TrustMark accredited, ever since when all of it's operatives have been mandated to adhere to high standards of technical competence underpinned by TrustMark's Customer Charter, their Code of Conduct and the Framework Operating Requirements. This was no issue to QHS gas engineers and electrical engineers as they have been performing at and above the minimum standard levels required by TrustMark for decades, the company having been trading since 1995.
